Advenduro Northeast – Nagaland Edition X 2026, billed as India’s first multi-day, all-terrain endurance expedition and the Northeast’s toughest adventure ride.
The expedition will be a 1,100–1,500 km endurance challenge, marking the first time such a large-scale, multi-day adventure motorsports event is being hosted in Northeast India. The initiative aims to redefine adventure riding in the region and position the Northeast as a major hub for adventure motorsports, while showcasing its rugged terrain, scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
A key highlight of the event is its extensive route across almost every district of Nagaland, including Kohima, Phek, Zunheboto, Kiphire, Shamator, Noklak, Tuensang, Longleng, Mon, Mokokchung and Wokha. Along the way, participants will explore remote villages, experience diverse tribal cultures, engage in wilderness camping under the stars and practice outdoor cooking, making the ride both adventurous and culturally enriching.
A total of 10 riders from Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Assam and Nagaland are participating in this edition, reflecting the growing regional participation and inter-state spirit of adventure motorcycling in the Northeast.
This edition will follow a DIY-style navigation format with GPS-guided routes, no pre-defined tracks, and mystery checkpoints, emphasising self-reliance. Riders will engage in wilderness camping, cooking, trekking and cultural interactions with indigenous communities. The route will cut across misty ridges, dense forests, river crossings, and tribal heartlands, testing courage, stamina, teamwork and endurance.
The expedition will span three to five days across some of Nagaland’s most challenging terrains. While participants will not be tested on riding skills, they are expected to be experienced riders capable of handling minor vehicle repairs and preparing their own meals when required. Assistance for major mechanical issues will be provided point to point by the Tourism department.
The organisers acknowledged the support of partners, sponsors, media, security forces, tourism stakeholders and adventure clubs, stating that such collaboration is essential to ensure safety while maintaining the expedition’s competitive edge.
The event is also expected to boost tourism, strengthen community bonds, promote cultural pride, and place Nagaland and the wider Northeast on the global adventure motorsports map.
Competitions during the event include River Raid Sprint (individual), Relay Race (team), Photography Contest, and Videography Contest, with prizes of Rs. 10,000 for winners and Rs. 5,000 for runners-up in each category.
