GPRN/NSCN (N. Kitovi/RM Lotha) has expressed strong disapproval over reports that ZUF (Kamson faction) has engaged in arson and violence endangering innocent civilians in villages, in collaboration with other Naga groups.
GPRN/NSCN through its MIP stated that such actions violated the spirit of the merger declaration signed on October 26, 2019, by former ZUF chairman Raitu Chawang and current chairman S. Kamson, as well as GPRN/NSCN/ZUF Alliance Modalities signed on October 28, 2019.
The group stated that ZUF, which had regularly participated in “Indo-Naga” political negotiations and WC, NNPGs meetings, has now unilaterally indulged in communal, sectarian violence that was not in the interest of the Nagas.
Therefore, GPRN/NSCN, under president “maj. (Retd.)” RM Lotha and ato kilonser N Kitovi Zhimomi, suspended all formal agreements with ZUF (Kamson). It also withdrew ZUF’s representation and barred their participation in WC, NNPGs events until the ZUF leadership takes steps that were truly Naga-centric.
