Nagaland football team (50+) played out two draw matches against Maharashtra and Karnataka on Wednesday in the ongoing 8th National Masters Games, being held from January 27 to 31 at Pimpri Chinchwad, Maharashtra.
Both matches ended in goalless draws.
Organised by the Super Masters Games and Sports Federation of India, the event features over 5,000 athletes from across the country and is open to men and women aged 30 years and above. The tournament includes team competitions in Kabaddi, Hockey, Handball, Football, Volleyball and Tennis Ball, along with a wide range of individual events such as Athletics, Archery, Chess, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Judo, Karate, Weightlifting, Lawn Tennis, Yoga, Air Pistol, Air Rifle, Dart Game and more.
Nagaland is fielding three men’s football teams in the competition—two in the 40+ category (Team A) and (Team B), and one in the 50+ category.
