Nagaland: NSCN (Khango-Vusshe) greets Nagas on Raising Day

DIMAPUR

NSCN-K (Khango-vusshe) has extended revolutionary greetings to all Naga compatriots and well-wishers on the occasion of NSCN Raising Day. In a message through its MIP, NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) stated that the day marks the historic formation of Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland on January 31, 1980, symbolising the Nagas’ enduring commitment to self-determination. It said the movement was rooted in the unique Naga identity and in the sacrifices of martyrs “whose blood has fertilised the very soil we stand on today.” The organisation paid tribute to their vision, courage and supreme sacrifices, which it said laid the foundation of the national movement.
Reaffirming its stand, MIP said it would remain the vanguard of Naga political rights, history and identity, and uphold the indomitable spirit of the Naga people with an unwavering resolve to live as a free and dignified nation.
It alleged that external forces continued attempts to fragment the Naga nation through aggression, divide-and-rule tactics and delays in political resolution, but maintained that it would remain steadfast in defending the land, upholding values and persevering with patience, discipline and courage.
Calling for unity, NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) urged all Nagas to rise above factionalism, tribal and regional differences, and to strengthen the spirit of reconciliation and national unity. “Let this Raising Day ignite our collective will,” the message stated, adding that strength lies in shared purpose and loyalty to the Naga future. It further prayed that God Almighty would continue to guide the nation and bless its people.
