Nagaland: NGBF welcomes FNTA agreement

DIMAPUR, FEB 8 (NPN)

The Nagaland Gaonburas Federation (NGBF) has expressed profound joy and gratitude over the tripartite agreement signed for the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) on February 5, 2026.
In a statement issued through its media cell, NGBF extended heartfelt congratulations to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) and welcomed what it described as a historic achievement.
The federation also placed on record its appreciation to the State government under the leadership of chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio for what it termed dedicated and sincere efforts that culminated in the signing of the accord.
Further, NGBF appealed to the Government of India to ensure timely and effective implementation of the FNTA agreement without delay.
The federation expressed the belief that the finalisation of FNTA marked a significant benchmark and a positive step towards achieving a comprehensive and lasting solution to the long-standing Naga political issue.
