Nagaland: Notification on reuse of burial space in Chumou

DIMAPUR

The management committee of the Chümoukedima Common Naga Cemetery has unanimously resolved to reuse burial space wherever no permanent tomb or grave has been constructed for a period exceeding 25 years.
According to Chümoukedima Town Council, chairman, Lhousito Khro, the resolution was necessitated due to the increasing rate of mortality coinciding with the lack of available space. The newly acquired site for burial is not yet ready as it awaits a master plan, which will take additional time for completion.
In this connection, management committee of the Chümoukedima Common Naga Cemetery has asked all concerned to take note of the notification and meet any of the committee members or the undersigned for claims or objections within 15 days from the date of publication of this circulation.
