Nagaland: ASU, SSUD, ZLSU extend exam wishes

Angami Students’ Union (ASU), Sangtam Students’ Union Dimapur (SSUD) and Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland (ZLSU) have extended their best wishes to candidates appearing for the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations scheduled from February 12 to March 9, 2026.
In press releases, ASU president Diezevisie Nakhro and secretary (education) Vimetisino Yakhro urged citizens to refrain from using loudspeakers, public address systems, and other disruptive activities. The union also called upon the Power department to provide uninterrupted electricity supply, assuring that it would remain vigilant to maintain a student-friendly atmosphere. Encouraging students to approach the exams with sincerity, confidence, and determination, ASU conveyed its prayers and support for their success. In a separate statement, SSUD president Chongrokhum Sangtam and assistant general secretary Tsipongse acknowledged the hard work and perseverance of students preparing for this academic milestone. The Union urged candidates to remain focused, disciplined, and confident, stressing that sincerity and prayerful effort would yield positive outcomes. SSUD also appealed to the Power Department for uninterrupted supply and requested Dimapur citizens to respect the examination period by maintaining peace and avoiding noise pollution.
Meanwhile, ZLSU conveyed best wishes to all candidates appearing for the HSLC and HSSLC examinations. Acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the students, the Union expressed hope for their success in this important academic milestone.
The union appealed to the general public to extend support and cooperation by avoiding activities that may cause disturbance or distraction during the examination period. It further urged the Power Department to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply so that students can prepare and appear for their examinations without inconvenience.
ASU, SSUD and ZLSU further appealed to the public and authorities to ensure a peaceful and supportive environment during the examination period. They also sought the cooperation of all stakeholders and the general public to create a conducive environment for students during this crucial time.
