Nagaland: Meeting held to upgrade Tobu ADC to district Hq

DIMAPUR

A consultative meeting on the up-gradation of Tobu ADC to a full-fledged District Headquarter was held on February 6 at Angjangyang Town, attended by leaders of various organisations and members of the public from two constituencies representing 4 administrative towns, 35 recognised villages, and 7 unrecognised villages.
The meeting noted that the upgradation of Tobu Additional Deputy Commissioner has been a long-standing public demand for nearly two decades, dating back to 2006, despite consistent and peaceful representations from the people of Tobu and Moka areas.
In light of the 2024 resolution on area and constituency demarcation adopted by nine MLAs of Mon district in consultation with the Konyak Union Apex, the participants unanimously resolved to once again approach the competent authority for the early upgradation of Tobu ADC into a full-fledged district headquarters, in the interest of ensuring effective administration and equitable delivery of government services.
