Kulolau Shena Old Küqhakulu (KSOK) and Shena Old Tüghalomi Küqhakulu (SOTK) have strongly condemned the inhuman act of murder in which Akhebo Kits was run over by an Innova Crysta without a registration number plate at 5th Mile NH-29, Chümoukedima. In a condemnation note, KSOK chairman Khekuto S. Achumi and SOTK president Ghokishe Z. Achumi stated that the “miscreant” instead of extending life-saving first aid, absconded “like common criminals”.
Meanwhile, the unions expressed gratitude to the police personnel led by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, and the officer-in-charge of Chümoukedima police station along with his team for their untiring efforts in apprehending the accused. KSOK and SOTK further urged the authorities to ensure justice by awarding befitting punishment to the perpetrator as per the law of the land. They cautioned that failure to deliver justice would leave the family members and unions absolved of responsibility should they be compelled to resort to any form of vendetta.
