NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) president ‘lt. gen.’ (Retd) Khango Konyak, underscored the urgent necessity of Naga unity, asserting that political differences, organisational divisions and personal agendas had weakened the collective voice of the Naga people.
In his presidential address during the national Tatar Hoho session, Khango said that differences should to be resolved through dialogue and collective wisdom, and stressed that reconciliation was more essential now than ever.
He urged members to choose reconciliation over confrontation, unity over fragmentation and understanding over mistrust. Reaffirming the group’s commitment to pursue reconciliation with sincerity and responsibility, he challenged members to remain steadfast in defending the ancestral land, political rights and dignity of Nagas with wisdom and restraint.
In his address, ato kilonser Hokato Vusshe welcomed members from various political groups who had recently joined to strengthen the Naga cause. He reminded them of their oath of allegiance and called for renewed dedication to serve the Naga nation with sincerity and perseverance.
Stating that no individual was above the law, he said the government would not hesitate to initiate disciplinary action against any member found guilty of misconduct/breach of discipline in accordance with the Yezahbo. He noted that 2026 would be a challenging period for both Government of India and Naga political groups as they engage in dialogue towards an early political settlement. He also briefed the house on the prevailing political landscape and referred to the competencies submitted by NNPA, described as an addendum pending final inking as part of the common draft for a Naga solution.
The house also adopted several resolutions, including strict adherence to directives issued by competent authority, accountability for members mobilising people or resources for personal interests, and mandatory compliance with Yezahbo without exception.
Speaker Visheto Yeptho acknowledged participation of members from all regions and commended the successful conduct of the session before adjourning the house sine die.
