Chakhroma youth organisation (CYO) has served an ultimatum on the Maova village council chairman to appear before Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) leaders in person at CPO Hall, Chümoukedima town for necessary clarification and settlement within seven days (latest by February 23, 2026).
In the ultimatum addressed to Maova VC, CYO through its information & publicity wing noted that “certain miscreants” from Maova village were involved in the “planned, pre-mediated attack” on CPO president and colleagues with catapults, rocks and projectiles on February 13, 2026, when they had gone to Maova village in good faith to hold peaceful dialogue, resulting in grievous injury to Chakhroma leaders and volunteers.
Chakhroma youth body has directed Moava VC to appear along with Seiboi Changsan, GB, and individuals responsible for the act of violence against CPO leaders.
CYO cautioned that failure to appear would compel the organisation to take “appropriate decision and actions” deemed necessary under Angami customary law and established resolutions. It cautioned that Maova VC and GB would be held solely responsible and accountable for the act of violence against CPO leaders.
