Nagaland: ETC alumni Dimapur Chapter holds general body meeting

DIMAPUR

Eastern Theological College (ETC) Alumni Dimapur Chapter held its general body meeting on February 13 at Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo Church under the theme “Reconnect. Rejuvenate. Re-Envision.”
The gathering brought together alumni from across the Northeast, with 182 participants in attendance.
The programme commenced with scripture reading and prayer led by Khontele Seb, followed by the hymn “To God Be the Glory.” The session was chaired by Prof. Phanenmo Kath, while Akaholi Yeptho served as recorder.
Delivering the welcome address, Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu highlighted the importance of strengthening alumni fellowship and renewing commitment to the college’s vision. A reflective segment, “A Walk Down Memory Lane,” was presented by Dr. Lipoknenla Ozukum, recalling milestones and shared experiences of ETC alumni.
Kakheli Jimo Inato, general secretary, presented the Alumni Association report, outlining activities and future plans. Special songs were sung under the coordination of Dr. Vashti Pao and Jeyalo Kath, while representatives from various alumni chapters shared greetings. Prof. Woba James led the obituary segment in remembrance of departed members.Rev. Dr. Razouselie Lasetso, principal of ETC, provided institutional updates and encouraged alumni to remain actively engaged in the college’s mission. A panel discussion moderated by Rev. Dr. Yanbemo Lotha featured panellists Dr. Akani, Dr. Loly, and Prof. Yangkahao, who deliberated on strengthening alumni collaboration and theological education in the region.
The meeting concluded with adoption of resolutions reaffirming alumni commitment to reconnect, rejuvenate and re-envision their collective role in serving the church and society. Lima Longkumer delivered the vote of thanks, followed by a special prayer for ETC and benediction by Rev. Dr. Ezamo Murry.
