SABAK, Khonoma Baptist Church holds Friendship Fellowship

The Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SABAK) and the Khonoma Baptist Church (KBC) celebrated a Friendship Fellowship at KBC on May 25.
The event aimed to renew and strengthen the longstanding bond between the Aphuyemi and Khonoma communities, while educating the younger generation about their shared history and spiritual legacy.
The highlight of the programme was an address by Rev. Dr. Hotokhu P. Zhimomi, Secretary of Mission & Evangelism, SABAK, who recounted the significant role played by Khonoma citizens in spreading the Gospel in Sumi Aphuyemi areas. He emphasized the historical connections between various villages in the Pughoboto region and Khonoma, underscoring a legacy of mutual respect and Christian fellowship.
Former minister Y. Vikheho Swu also spoke on the occasion, echoing gratitude on behalf of the Sumi Aphuyemi people for the contributions made by Khonoma citizens. He expressed hope for deeper understanding, continued collaboration, and unity between the two communities.
The Senior Pastor, Pastor and Deacons of KBC also spoke during the programme. As a symbolic gesture of mutual appreciation, both SABAK and KBC exchanged gifts, marking the occasion with respect and gratitude.
