The Ministry of MSME, Government of India, MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Dimapur in association with DIC Mon District organised a one-day awareness workshop under PM Vishwakarma at DIC’s Conference Hall, Mon on Thursday.
During the technical session, chief manager SBI Mon, Robert Zosangliana, spoke on financial literacy and banking matters, and briefed the gathering on criteria for availing PM Vishwakarma loans.
Manager SCK (IDAN) Mon, Mopa Talem Konyak N, delivered a talk on entrepreneurship development and marketing strategies. He urged participants to focus more on operating expenses (OPEX) rather than capital investment (CaPEX) and highlighted the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Scheme along with its loan criteria.
Inspector of Industry DIC Mon, Mansa Walim, shared details of schemes under MSME and the State Government. Project Associate RAMP, M.L. Daniel, explained the process of boarding PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries on the UDYAM registration portal, reminding artisans that the UDYAM card is a mandatory document akin to Aadhaar for availing PM Vishwakarma loans.
SPLMU, Lohe Lokajiia Victoria, spoke on QR code generation for PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and encouraged artisans to begin their work early, remain active and functional to avoid setbacks in business.
Proprietor Ab’s Link and Washmart Mon, Y. Abraham Konyak, shared his MSME success story, stressing that profit alone should not be the sole priority in business.
General manager DIC Mon, Y. Shoyan Konyak, delivered the keynote address, welcoming participants and expressing gratitude to the resource persons. She reminded the gathering about Mon being an Aspirational District and encouraged active participation.
The programme was chaired by Project Associate RAMP, Anne Chopan, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Functional Manager DIC Mon, M. Chingo. Altogether, 101 artisans attended the workshop.
