Heniomtan Phom and Kilibo A. Chophy crowned Mr and Miss St. Joseph 2026

The second day of the two-day 3rd JOSE-FESTIVPORIUM 2026, organised by the St. Joseph University Students’ Council and powered by Mahendra’s, was held at the SJU Ground under the theme “One Festival, A Tapestry of Cultures.”
According to a press release, the event was graced by SDO (Civil) Seithekema, Chümoukedima, Er. Seyiekhrietuo Solo as the special guest and franchise owner of KFC and Pizza Hut (Nagaland, Manipur and Meghalaya), Hekaito Chowdhury as the guest of honour. In their addresses, both speakers encouraged students to cultivate confidence, resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit, while emphasising leadership and service. The programme was further enriched by a special appearance by Kevisano Yhoshii.
A major highlight of the informal session was the Mr. & Miss Josephite 2026 competition. Heniomtan Phom (UG 2nd semester, Department of Political Science) and Kilibo A. Chophy (UG 4th semester, Department of Political Science) were crowned Mr. and Miss Josephite 2026, respectively.
The competition was judged Top 5 Finalist of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2026 and Reigning Queen of Nagaland Exotic Model Hunt Season–6 (2025), Nounengunuo Kratsütsu, Reigning Miss Grand Nagaland 2026 and winner of Nagaland Exotic Model Hunt Season–6 (2025), Honli A Konyak, winner, Global Mr. Teen Nagaland 2026, LimsowaJamir and 1st Runner-up, Global Mr. Teen Nagaland 2026, L. PhongpangKonyak.
The formal programme was chaired by Heli, assistant professor, Department of Political Science. The invocation was led by Rev. Dr. Fr. Anish, PRO of the University, while the vote of thanks was delivered by cultural secretary of the Students’ Council, Ato Swu. The benediction was pronounced by finance secretary Precila Kithan. Greetings were extended by Kivika Yeptho, president of the Nagaland College Students’ Union.
The event was hosted by Vizaka Zhimomi and Chongtie Lamthio. Activities of the day included a debate competition, band performances and an open mic session. The formal round was further energised by guest artists Shau Evans and KL Pamei.
