Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) concluded one-month free training course on Masonry & Tiling and Electrical & Plumbing at Phom Lempong Center, Nyengchingkong, Longleng. The training, held from January 19 to February 19, 2026 in collaboration with AISECT and May I Help You Organisation (MIHYO), benefitted a total of 130 youths.
According to a press release, the initiative focused on hands-on learning to promote entrepreneurship, self-employment, and economic empowerment in the region.
Special guest, EAC Longleng, Imkongnukla Ao, delivered the keynote address, lauding the programme for bridging skill gaps and promoting inclusive development. She encouraged participants to strive towards becoming skilled professionals, sharing real-life examples to inspire them.
Short speeches were also delivered by AISECT member, Kito Sumi; ES, Phom Baptist Christians Association, Talemba Phom; President, Phom People’s Council, YB Angam Phom; President, Phomla Hoichem, A. Ainyu; and Social & Cultural Secretary, Phom Students’ Conference, Bauom Phom. All speakers underscored the importance of skill development in building a sustainable future, with emphasis on youth empowerment and economic growth.
