Nagaland: Symposium on NEP 2020 implementation

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland will organize a two-day National Symposium on “Implementation of NEP 2020: Challenges and Opportunities in the North East Region” from February 27–28, 2026.
The symposium is being conducted in association with the NIT Teachers’ Forum, a unit of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), with the other seven NITs of North East India serving as co-organisers.
The event aims to provide a platform for academicians, policymakers, and institutional leaders to deliberate on key aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Discussions will focus on institutional success stories, faculty readiness and capacity building, leadership and governance models, funding optimization, financial sustainability, strategic roadmaps for implementation, and issues of equity, inclusion, and regional impact of technical institutions in the North East.
The symposium will be graced by Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, chairman, National Educational Technology Forum (NETF), Executive Council-NAAC, and NBA, as Chief Guest. Prof. Narayan Lal Gupta, president, ABRSM, will attend as guest of honour, while Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, will be the special guest.
