LCD hosts victory celebration for Dr. Neena

The Lions Club of Dimapur (LCD) on Saturday hosted a Victory Celebration in honour of Dr. Neena Dutta, newly elected District Governor of Lions District 322D, Lions Clubs International.
Dr. Neena will head the district covering Nagaland, Upper Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, comprising more than 80 clubs and 2972 members. The event marked a significant milestone of leadership, dedication and humanitarian service, drawing prominent Lions leaders, members and distinguished guests from across the region.
In her address, Dr. Neena noted that Lions Clubs International has been serving humanity for over a century under its motto “We Serve.” She said the responsibility ahead was immense, as the district looked to them for leadership, innovation and service that truly touches lives.
Outlining her vision, she pledged to strengthen clubs, empower members, build harmony and teamwork, and inspire new leaders and volunteers. Her key priorities for 2026–27 include expanding service projects in rural and underserved areas, enhancing membership engagement and retention, empowering youth through Leo Clubs, promoting digital efficiency, and increasing participation in global causes.
On membership, she emphasized quality growth, mentoring new members, supporting struggling clubs, forming new clubs and recognizing active members. “Strong clubs build a strong district,” she said.
Dr. Neena also announced major initiatives such as health camps, environmental drives, youth empowerment and skill development programmes, and strengthening disaster preparedness. She assured transparency through clear communication, regular reporting, digital tracking and financial accountability.
Calling for unity and dedication, she urged members to walk alongside her in the new journey, stressing that “the work itself is the true reward.” She also encouraged public participation through volunteering, partnerships and membership.
The programme featured a video introduction of Dr. Neena by Priya Bhattacharjee of Blue Venda, followed by felicitations from various Lions Clubs across the state, community representatives and Rotary Club Dimapur.
Earlier, the event was chaired by LCD PRO Dr. Arihant Jain, with a welcome address by LCD administrator Pratik Dutta, and vote of thanks by LCD vice president Rohit Jain.
