Konyak Union (KU) has expressed concern over the detection of six proxy candidates during the ongoing oral interview of the Nagaland Police recruitment process in Mon district and highlighted the need for strict adherence to fairness and integrity in government job selections.
In a press release, KU president K Yamao Konyak and general secretary Wango Konyak urged all Konyak youths to remain sincere, disciplined, and committed to pursuing success through genuine merit-based competition.
With a large number of educated youths competing for limited employment opportunities, KU stressed that the recruitment process must remain fair, transparent, and completely free from malpractices.
The apex Konyak body strongly discouraged practices such as proxy participation, cheating, or any other dishonest means, describing them as actions that undermine the dignity and integrity of society. KU called upon the responsible authorities to address such incidents strictly in accordance with relevant laws and established procedures.
Acknowledging the state government’s sincere efforts to ensure a free, fair, and transparent recruitment system, the KU described the emergence of such concerns as unfortunate.
Recalling that Konyak forefathers have always emphasized the core values of honesty, sincerity, and integrity, KU urged the younger generation to continue upholding those principles.
KU appreciated the vigilance and commitment shown by the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC) chairman, secretary, and all officials under the superintendent of police (SP) office in Mon district for detecting the proxy cases and maintaining fairness during the process.
Further, KU appealed to the DLSC Mon district to sustain its due diligence and vigilance to ensure that only deserving and qualified candidates were selected.
It said such continued measures would uphold justice, strengthen public confidence in the recruitment system, and contribute to building a higher quality of personnel serving the state.
