The Nagaland Science Mission, Department of Science & Technology (DST), in collaboration with the All India Management Association (AIMA), conducted Day 2 of the workshop on ‘AI Implementation and Data Governance’ for state officials at Hotel Vivor in Kohima.
According to DIPR report, the workshop was organized for three aspects.
Data & governance: Dr. Anuja Pandey, Program Director, AIMA, opened the session, emphasizing that high-quality data is the fundamental pillar of good governance and transparent public service.
Departmental challenges: An open-house discussion revealed critical data gaps and storage challenges. During interactions with the resource persons, officials from the fire & emergency services, treasuries & accounts, higher & technical education, and election departments highlighted the need for streamlined data flow and modernized digital infrastructure.
AI roadmap: Dr. (Prof) Sourabh Agarwal, adjunct faculty, AIMA, explained the transition from ‘data to insights,’ showcasing AI success stories from other states and presenting a strategic AI implementation roadmap tailored for Nagaland.
The closing remark was delivered by Er. Onongoto Soleho, mission coordinator, Nagaland Science Mission.
