Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) and Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) have expressed serious concern and opposition to the proposed launch of what they called “so-called Western Naga Youth Front (WNYF)”, scheduled for March 14, 2026, at Senden Riju, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur.
In a joint statement, CYO president Medochuzo Medoze and WSYF president Atokiho Sumi stated that Chakhroma Public Organization (CPO) and the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) had adopted a joint resolution on January 17, 2020, explicitly prohibiting members under their respective jurisdictions from forming or affiliating with any organization that could undermine the unity, welfare, and progress of the society.
Subsequently, CYO and WSYF said the resolution was reaffirmed during their meetings on October 23, 2024, and June 21, 2025, issuing strict warnings to their members against associating with any such group formed without the knowledge or approval of the parent bodies.
The two youth bodies asserted that WNYF was being launched without any support, consultation, or consent from the CPO or WSH.
As such, the two bodies said that the “so-called WNYF” had no legitimate claim to represent the youths of the Western Nagas.
In light of this, CYO and WSYF have once again cautioned all their members against associating with or participating in the activities of the proposed organization.
The bodies warned that any member found violating the standing resolutions of the apex bodies would face strict disciplinary action in accordance with the established rules and procedures of the respective organizations.
Further, CYO and WSYF strongly denounced the formation of the “so-called WNYF” and declared that such entities would not be allowed to function within their jurisdictions.
Reaffirming their unwavering commitment to unity, mutual respect, and the collective well-being of the people, the two organizations urged all members to strictly adhere to the decisions and resolutions passed by the recognized apex bodies.
