Food Safety Administration, Kohima Zone, Department of Health & Family Welfare, in coordination with training partners M/S SBS, Foresight Pvt. Ltd., Delhi, conducted a two day Basic Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programme on March 11 and 12, 2025 at the Nagaland Institute of Allied & Healthcare conference hall.
According to a press release issued by Designated Officer, Food Safety Administration, Kezhangulie Yimchunger, the training was aimed at imparting good hygienic practices and ensuring food safety compliance among Food Business Operators (FBOs) from hotels, restaurants, cafés, college canteens and school mid day meal services.
Altogether, 200 FBOs were trained in batches by FSSAI empanelled trainer, Dr. Anup Kumar Tewari. The release further informed that School Mid Day Meal Operators, College Canteens and Office Canteens wishing to avail FoSTaC training may approach the Food Safety Section, CMO Office, Kohima.
