Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav, accompanied by his family, visited the historic Khonoma village on March 14.
According to PRO, Lok Bhavan, the Governor was received by minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Lokayukta Nagaland, Nino Iralu, along with village leaders and officials.
During his interaction with villagers and community leaders, the Governor lauded the people of Khonoma for their efforts in preserving rich cultural heritage and traditional values. He commended the community’s collective initiatives in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable living practices.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the Governor and his family to experience the uniquve cultural heritage, traditions and scenic beauty of Khonoma, while acknowledging the important role played by the community in preserving nature and promoting eco friendly practices.
