Staff ReporterKohima, Mar 16 (NPN):

A statewide Mega Job Fair 2026 will be organised by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) and the Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) on March 21 at the Integrated Business Hub & Innovation Centre (IBH&I), IDAN, Forest Colony, Dimapur.
Briefing media persons at IDAN office, Under Secretary and Project Manager (i/c) of NSEDM, I. Changsang, said the initiative is part of the mission’s vision to generate employment and align skilled youth with industry demand.
The fair will serve as a platform connecting employers and job seekers, offering opportunities across local, domestic and international sectors.
Under Secretary and Project Lead, Meripeni, along with NIELIT officials, announced that 33 employers will participate, including international recruiters licensed by the Ministry of External Affairs to ensure credibility and safety. They informed that 6,114 vacancies are available, but only 311 candidates have registered so far, highlighting the need for greater participation from students and graduates.
Officials explained that the registration process is transparent and candidate-friendly, allowing applicants to apply for up to three job openings of their choice.
Detailed listings will include vacancies, salary packages, experience requirements and eligibility criteria.
A dedicated online portal has been launched for pre-registration, though walk-in registrations will also be accepted.
To prepare candidates, grooming sessions in both physical and online formats will be conducted, focusing on resume building, interview etiquette, communication skills and sector-specific guidance.
NSEDM, launched under the Chief Minister’s directive on May 29, 2025, is a flagship initiative of the Government of Nagaland aimed at tackling unemployment by strengthening skill development, enhancing employability and creating sustainable opportunities for youth.
Officials emphasized that there is no registration fee and urged both parents and youth to actively participate in the job fair, which is expected to become an annual event.
