PDFL 3.0: Nchangram Lun FC extend lead, Friends of Society jump to 2nd

The Peren District Football League (PDFL) 3.0 produced high drama at the Astro Turf Ground, Jalukie Town on Tuesday, with leaders Nchangram Lun FC strengthening their grip on the table and Friends of Society climbing to second place after convincing wins.
In a clash of the top two sides, Nchangram Lun FC overcame Lekie Mtei FC 2–0 to extend their lead.
Lekie Mtei started brightly, creating early chances, but were denied by the brilliance of Nchangram’s goalkeeper. Against the run of play, Nchangram struck first when Poulin flicked in Samuel’s cross in the 36th minute.
The second half saw Lekie Mtei push hard for an equaliser, but Nchangram’s custodian stood firm. The contest was sealed deep into stoppage time when Khangkinwi capitalised on a poor clearance to score from outside the box (90+5’).
Widambo of Nchangram Lun FC was named Man of the Match, while Lungneuying of Lekie Mtei received a yellow card.
In the second match between debutants, Football Plus Academy and Friends of Society, Football Plus Academy showed resilience but were undone by a strong second-half surge from Friends of Society, who ran out 4–1 winner.
Football Plus took the lead in the 38th minute through Athanah, after a goalkeeping error. However, Friends of Society equalised quickly when Lungpetsing pounced on defensive confusion in the 42nd minute.
The second half belonged to Friends of Society. Winamthiu (63’) and Icuilung (back-post finish) extended the lead, before Lungpetsing added his second in the 82nd minute to complete the rout.
Icuilung was awarded Man of the Match for his decisive performance.
