WNYF grateful; reiterates commitment to unity

DIMAPUR:

Western Naga Youth Front (WNYF) has expressed gratitude to all tribal hohos and youth organisations of erstwhile undivided Dimapur for their support and endorsement during its launch on March 14, 2026.
In a press statement, WNYF also acknowledged the contribution of the nomination committee and extended special appreciation to the Diphupar Naga Youth Organisation for its cooperation from the initial stages till the launch.
The front said its formation was made possible through collective support, trust and shared vision of various tribal bodies and organisations, adding that it was encouraged by the unity shown and sought continued cooperation.
WNYF stated that it was formed with the objective of fostering unity, brotherhood and collective responsibility among Naga people, and to serve as a common platform bringing together different tribal youth bodies to address pressing issues.
It said the key objectives of the Front included promoting unity and harmony among Naga tribes, empowering youth and ensuring social security and safety in the region.
The front also said it would actively address challenges such as anti-social activities, illegal taxation, extortion, intimidation, abduction and the proliferation of gun culture, which it said continue to disrupt peace and stability.
WNYF reiterated that it is a non-political and non-partisan organisation, not affiliated to any political party or specific tribal body, and aimed at safeguarding the rights, dignity and welfare of citizens.
Further, WNYF invited youth bodies and organisations not yet part of WNYF to join the initiative, stating that its doors remain open to all committed to collective progress and a peaceful society.
