Mughaho crowned champion of Sumi Chess tourney

Dimapur, Mar 21 (NPN):

Mughaho Awomi emerged as the champion of the 13th All Sumi Chess Championship in the open category, while Kughaho Kiho and Akaho Achumi secured the 1st and 2nd runners-up positions respectively.
In the Under-18 category, Jesse Chishi clinched the top spot, followed by Thopimi Assumi and Gihuca Chishi as 1st and 2nd runners-up. The Under-14 category saw Kuxupu Achumi crowned champion, with Tovito Kiba and Vito H. Kiba finishing as runners-up. Meanwhile, in the Under-10 category, Edlina Nini Kiba emerged Champion, while Jeremy Nitova Zhimo and Apishe A. Kiba bagged the 1st and 2nd runners-up positions.
The valedictory function was chaired by Hoto Yeptho, vice president of the Sumi Chess Association (SCA). Dr. Naomi Zhimo gave away the coveted prizes across categories, while advisor Mughato K. Kiba pronounced the note of gratitude.
