Friends of Society enter PDFL 3.0 final

Friends of Society on Saturday entered the final of the Peren District Football League (PDFL) 3.0 after defeating Nchangram Lun FC via tie-breaker 4-3, following a goalless draw in regulation time at Astro Turf Ground, Jalukie Town. Friends of Society will now face defending champions Lekie Mtei FC in the final.
In the penultimate clash, both sides went all out from the start, displaying sharp passing and shooting but failing to break the deadlock. With neither team willing to concede mistakes, the match remained goalless through regulation time and extra time.
The contest was eventually decided via tie-breaker, where Friends of Society triumphed 4-3.
Namsibo of Friends of Society was adjudged Man of the Match. Meanwhile, Akiak, Hankhohao and Namheicube were shown yellow cards for misconduct. The grand finale will see defending champions Lekie Mtei FC take on Friends of Society on March 23 at 1 p.m. The closing ceremony will be graced by advisor to chief minister, chairman IDAN and vice president Athletics Federation of India, Abu Metha, as special guest, while proprietor Case Construction and founder Barak FC, Kuchi R.
