All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers’ Association (ANGPTA) Dimapur district unit has rejected the recent statement of All Nagaland Adhoc Regularised Primary Teachers’ Forum (ANARPTF) and described the forum as “self-styled” and “unrecognised” having no mandate from the teaching community in Dimapur district.
In a press release, ANGPTA Dimapur district president George Kitoho and general secretary Imsenyanger Pongen clarified that ANGPTA was an independent service association exclusively representing primary teachers under the Department of School Education. The unit stated that ANGPTA was formally established on June 6, 2016, by member representatives from all districts of the state and was duly affiliated with the Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Associations (CANSSEA).
It stated that ANGPTA separated from All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) on June 6, 2016, and has since functioned as the sole legitimate body representing primary teachers across Nagaland.
ANGPTA unit maintained that the “self-styled ANARPTF” has no affiliation whatsoever with ANGPTA. The unit opposed any attempt by ANARPTF to collect membership fees or funds under the banner or reputation of ANSTA, describing such actions as unauthorised and fraudulent.
The association strongly advised all primary teachers not to make any payments to the group or its representatives for membership fees or any other contributions.
