Minority affairs organises awareness and sensitization programme at Kiphire

DIMAPUR:

The Directorate of minority affairs, government of Nagaland organised an awareness and sensitization programm on various schemes and activities of the department on March 19, at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire.
According to DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, delivered the welcome address, while joint secretary, minority affairs, Andrew C. Imti, proposed the keynote address followed by the PowerPoint presentation on various schemes implemented by the department.
Assistant project officer, Thejavizo Rio spoke on Micro – Credit Scheme under NMDFC, while joint director, minority affairs, Andrew C. Imti, emphasised on Minority Scholarship & PMJVK Scheme.
The program aimed to create awareness about various schemes and initiatives implemented by the Directorate of Minority Affairs and to promote better outreach and understanding among the public and stakeholders.
The district heads of offices under Kiphire, representatives from village and town councils, representatives from religious minority communities, including Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian Communities, attended the programme.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the chairperson Neingulie Krome, joint secretary, minority affairs.
