World Oral Health Day 2026 observed in Dimapur

DIMAPUR:

National Oral Health Programme Dimapur, department of health & family welfare Nagaland observed ‘World Oral Health Day 2026’ at Patkai Higher Secondary School, Chumoukedima.
A press release by National Oral Health Programme Dimapur, Nagaland, stated that senior dental surgeon DHD, Dr. Jeshua Nchang, in his address, advocated the importance of Oral health and encouraged good oral hygiene practices.
Junior Dental Surgeon DHD, Dr. Japheth Yepthomi, provided visual presentation on the theme, ‘A healthy mouth is a healthy life’.
He led the participants in taking a pledge to keep the mouth clean.
During the programme, winners of essay writing and painting competitions were awarded cash prizes and certificates. The programme was chaired by Imlisenla Ao , Banuo K Ngukha, vice principal, PHSS gave the welcome address and Rev Dr. Vichukho Ngukha, chaplain PCC delivered the closing prayer.
Free oral kits were distributed to all the participants.
