Wrestling club Bout Lords Nagaland organised a thanksgiving programme on March 20 to honour three of its members for their achievements at the recently concluded 30th NWA Meet 2026.
The event, held at Teiso Orange Orchard, Kohima, celebrated the success of Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü (champion), Menuosetuo Yiese (runner-up), and Vizakietuo Suohu (pre-quarter finalist).
Prominent figures including Vimhalie Pienyü, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Councillor, and Khriesazo Liezietsu, president of the Northern Angami Youth Organization and Director of the club, exhorted the gathering. Wrestler Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü spoke on behalf of the athletes, expressing gratitude for the support received.
As part of the felicitation, each of the three wrestlers was awarded an incentive of Rs. 50,000. Additionally, Kezhalelie Keretsü was honoured with Rs. 1 lakh for being adjudged Best Coach, sponsored by Teisongulie Dzüvichü.
The programme was chaired by Neisavotuo Whuorie, vice-president of the Angami Sports Association (ASA).
The thanksgiving event highlighted the club’s commitment to nurturing wrestling talent in Nagaland and recognising the dedication of both athletes and coaches who continue to bring laurels to the state.
