Tuensang-Longleng transmission line to be test charged

Power department has informed that the 132kV Tuensang-Longleng transmission line passing through several villages/town under Tuensang and Longleng district would be test charged at the rated voltage with effect from March 24, 2026 and kept idle charged along with 132/33 kV Longleng substation.
In a press release, Mokokchung transmission division executive engineer Hekaito Assumi has, therefore, informed the public neither touch the transmission line nor go near it for safety purposes. The department cautioned that anybody doing so would be doing at their own risk and the department would not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever.
Transmission line passing through the flowing villages under Tuensang district Helipong, Tuensang, Hakchang, Taghi, Sangchen and Saoshou and following village under Longleng district Auching, Sakshi, Yimjong, Yongphang and Pongo.
