DIMAPUR, MAR 23 (NPN):

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecaster scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over North East during the week.
In its weather bulletin, IMD informed that scattered to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning gusty winds speed reaching (30-50 kmph) likely over Arunachal Pradesh on March 24; Assam & Meghalaya on March 24 & 27; thunderstorm & lightning likely over Arunachal Pradesh during March 23-25; Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during March 24-27. Further, the Met department informed that isolated heavy rainfall was likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh on March 24, 27 & 28 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on March 28.
