Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is set to launch an AI-driven cooking show titled Khana Dil Se – An AI Journey Through India’s Kitchen, produced by True Story Films in collaboration with Collective Studios. The episodic series explores India’s culinary heritage using artificial intelligence as a storytelling tool.
Mehta, who created the 1990s cookery show Khana Khazana, returns to food television with Master Chef Shamsher Ahmed joining as culinary consultant. The show traces migration, memory, and identity through recipes passed down generations.
Producer Sahil Saigal said the project integrates AI into food television to document traditions across India. Collective Artists Network CEO Vijay Subramaniam highlighted the effort to surface undocumented culinary stories.
Khana Dil Se is described as a first-of-its-kind series combining culinary heritage and AI to narrate India’s story through its kitchens.
