Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Office Bearers (COB) held a meeting at Niuland Town Hall on March 26, as part of its ongoing constituency tour programme.
Addressing the gathering, NPF senior vice president and COB in-charge Charlie Sekhose stated that the hallmark of the tour is to connect with grassroots workers, understand their grievances, and explore ways to strengthen the party at all levels. He was accompanied by members of the central office bearers, central women wing, youth wing, farmers’ wing, minority wing, and division office bearers.
The meeting witnessed an intensive and productive discussion session where grassroots workers presented their grievances to the leadership, seeking due consideration and necessary action for future improvement. The discussion was facilitated by vice president Pushika Awomi. Emphasising the importance of upholding the core values of regionalism, Awomi called upon party workers to move beyond negativism and unite under the NPF banner. He urged members to work cohesively with a spirit of oneness for the growth and progress of the party. The programme was chaired by working president, 4 Ghaspani-I Assembly Constituency, Kikheto Sumi, with invocation pronounced by associate pastor, SBAN Kiyevi, Zhimomi. The welcome address was delivered by Kikrukhrietuo Yhoshu, while vice president Keviyani Thepe gave the introductory remarks on behalf of the NPF central team.
Short speeches were also delivered by president, Chümoukedima Division Neikhriehu Kense, working president, NPF central women wing Vikali A. Zhimomi, minority wing president Bishnu Bhattacharjee, along with representatives from the Farmers’ Wing and Youth Wing.
