ANTA holds ninth annual executive meeting

The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) conducted its 9th Annual Executive General Meeting 2026 on March 27 at Hotel Grand Maspel, Dimapur. The programme was hosted by the ANTA Dimapur Unit and witnessed the participation of members from 15 district affiliated ANTA units across Nagaland.
In a press release, ANTA HQ informed that the meeting commenced with an invocation by Rev. Rakhu Livi, followed by a welcome address delivered by the president of ANTA Dimapur Unit, Ghunato Chophy.
The first session featured presentations, exhortations, and special performances by members from various affiliated units. Exhortations was delivered by Tongpang Pongen, president ANTA Mokokchung Unit. He encouraged and urged upon the members to be steadfast in our service to the public and ANTA.
Meanwhile, the second session was chaired by the president of ANTA HQ Dziesevituo Paul Solo and recorded by general secretary ANTA HQ Elho Kin and focused on key organizational matters, including a review of the 2025 General Meeting Longleng Resolution, agenda discussions, and policy deliberations concerning the welfare and functioning of taxi operators across the State.
ANTA Hq further informed that, the constituent members have once again resolved and reaffirmed its earlier resolution dated June 25, 2024, withdrawing its earlier notification addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, which was further published in all local dailies on July 9 2024.
It stated that this resolution is in accordance and compliance with the orders of the Civil Judge, Senior Division Dimapur, dated February 7, 2024 and subsequent orders dated February 21, 2024, which recognized the legitimacy of Ghunato Chophy and others as the duly elected office bearers of the All Nagaland Taxi Association, Dimapur Unit, in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down in the ANTA Constitution.
The release also stated that other important agenda such as private agencies operating taxi service were discussed and resolutions were adopted with collective consensus based on the constitutional provisions of ANTA constitution, reflecting the Association’s commitment to strengthening unity, improving service standards, and addressing the challenges faced by taxi operators.
The Association further informed that ANTA Nagaland once again reaffirmed ‘One Government, One Tax’ resolution adopted during ACAUT Nagaland Public Rally.
Furthermore, the House also emphasized the importance of discipline, cooperation, and public service amongst the Taxi Community in maintaining the integrity of the transport sector.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Steve Chophy, advisor, ANTA Dimapur Unit, followed by a mass prayer for the well-being and progress of all members.
The All Nagaland Taxi Association HQ also expressed gratitude to all participating units, dignitaries, and members for their active involvement and reaffirmed its dedication to serving the public and safeguarding the interests of taxi operators across Nagaland
