Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein have filed a federal lawsuit against Google, claiming its search engine and AI tools exposed their personal identities and contact details, leading to harassment and renewed trauma.
The case, brought by Jane Doe on behalf of others, alleges that sensitive information such as names, emails, and phone numbers appeared on Google platforms despite repeated removal requests.
The issue stems from DOJ records released in late 2025 and early 2026 that inadvertently identified about 100 survivors. Although the government later retracted the documents, the data had already spread online.
According to the complaint, Google continued displaying the information even after being notified, resulting in threats and accusations against victims.
The lawsuit seeks remedies to prevent further disclosure and hold Google accountable, with legal experts noting potential wider implications for how tech companies handle sensitive personal data.
