Monitoring committee inspects LPG distribution agencies in Kohima

Kohima district monitoring committee for regulation and monitoring of LPG and other petroleum products, and for prevention of hoarding, black-marketing, and overpricing, conducted inspection of LPG distribution agencies and outlets across Kohima district on Saturday.
According to DIPR, the inspection team comprised officials from the district administration, Kohima police, food & civil supplies department, Kohima Municipal Council, and legal metrology.
During the inspection, it was observed that all LPG distribution agencies were strictly adhering to the latest guidelines issued by the food & civil supplies department. No instances of hoarding, black-marketing, or overpricing were detected at any of the distribution outlets.
The supply of LPG in the district was reported to be normal and adequate.
In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has appealed to the general public to remain calm and not be influenced by any unverified or misleading information.
DC further requested public to refrain from spreading such information.
Any instances of malpractice by distributors or hoarding of LPG by individuals may be reported to the nearest Police Station or the District Administration for necessary action.
