The Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) and Naga People’s Front (NPF) have mourned the demise of former MLA G. Kughavi Shohe, who passed away on March 30, 2026, at Guwahati.
In its condolence message, Ex-PAN noted that late Shohe had been a member of the association since 1998 and actively contributed to its activities. “In his passing, the Ex-PAN has lost yet another comrade and the State has lost a visionary leader,” the message stated.
Shohe represented the 36th Satakha Assembly Constituency in the 8th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (1993–98). A staunch regionalist, he dedicated his political career to building the regional party and remained a loyal member until his last breath. Ex-PAN described him as a leader who served the people of Satakha with dedication, humility, and loyalty.
The association conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for God’s comfort and strength during their time of grief. It further prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
Meanwhile, the NPF press bureau expressed shock at his demise, describing late Shohe as a staunch regionalist, who served as NPC MLA from 1993 to 1998 and played a pivotal role in the formation of NPF in 2002, dedicating his efforts to the growth of the party.
He party described him as a vibrant and visionary leader whose passion and dedication inspired many and noted that his contributions to the party and the people of the region, it stated, will be remembered and cherished.
NPF further noted that his unwavering commitment to the party’s ideals and values will continue to guide and inspire future generations.
The party further extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
