NPF central team conducts tour of constituencies in Nagaland

As part of its ongoing tour across Nagaland, the central team of NPF continued their tour of several constituencies across the state.
CHUMOUKEDIMA, NIULAND AND DIMAPUR: The NPF COB/ central team tour to Chumoukedima, Niuland and Dimapur division, covering all the five assembly constituencies which started on the March 24, 2026 at 5 Ghaspani – 11 A/C, in Medziphema Town, culminated on March 31, 2026, at Dimapur – 111, A/C, East Dimapur Town Council Hall, Purana Bazaar.
A press release by the media team for NPF central tour stated that the central team for Chumoukedima, Niuland and Dimapur Division was led by senior vice-president and COB in-charge, Charlie Sekhose and hosts of other central leaders from the COB, central women wing, youth wing, minority wing and division officials led by Vihoshe Awomi.

The Phek division of NPF toured four Assembly Constituencies.


NPF Phek: The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Phek Division, conducted its central tour programme across the 16 Pfutsero, 17 Chizami, 18 Chozuba, and 19 Phek assembly constituencies, witnessing strong participation from party leaders, office bearers, and grassroots workers.
A press release by the NPF Phek Division stated that the tour focused on strengthening party unity, enhancing coordination among different levels of the organization, and preparing the party for upcoming political developments.
Key speakers across all constituencies emphasized the importance of unity, disciplined party structure, and the collective responsibility of party workers in advancing the aspirations of the Naga people.
Leaders reiterated that the vision behind political alignment and cooperation is to build a strong regional force capable of striving towards a final and honourable solution to the Naga political issue.
They also highlighted the need to actively engage with the public and ensure proper implementation and awareness of various government schemes for the benefit of the people.
The programmes also stressed the importance of youth, women and farmer participation, accurate census implementation, agricultural development initiatives, and community-oriented development efforts.
Speakers called upon party workers to remain committed, uphold party principles, and be prepared for any forthcoming elections.
The NPF Phek division expressed its profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to all NPF legislators under Phek district for their generous financial contribution, which greatly contributed to the grand success of the Central Tour Programme.
The division also acknowledged their unwavering support, guidance, and commitment towards strengthening the party and serving the people.
The division further reaffirmed its unwavering faith and confidence in the leadership of Dr. Neiphiu Rio, president, and Achumbemo Kikon, secretary general, and pledged its continued commitment to strengthen their leadership and work collectively for the progress of the party and the Naga people.
The tour concluded successfully with renewed enthusiasm, unity, and a strong resolve among party members to work tirelessly for the party’s objectives and the larger interest of the Naga society.

NPF Peren: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) COBs, along with Peren division, conducted a tour programme at the Conference Hall, Jalukie, with active participation from party leaders, workers, and the public.
In his introductory address, NPF Peren division president, Kiengau Nda lauded party workers of 7 A/C for their support to chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister, T.R. Zeliang, while urging continued unity and commitment to strengthening the party. He expressed appreciation for their continued efforts in strengthening the party at all levels and encouraged them to remain united, committed, and proactive in advancing the party’s objectives for the welfare of the people.
Secretary, COB and assistant division in-charge, Peren, Akwa Iheilung, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of coordination, discipline, and collective responsibility among party members.
The resource person for the programme, vice president COB and divisional in-charge, Peren, S. Shingnyu Khiam, emphasizing the need for strong organizational structure, grassroots mobilization, and effective leadership.
During the interactive session, leaders and workers deliberations focused on the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding among party members to ensure continued progress and success.
A key highlight of the discussion was the unanimous resolution adopted by the house regarding the urgent need for a multipurpose hall in the constituency. The members collectively emphasized that such a facility, with a seating capacity of more than 1,000 people, would greatly benefit the public by providing a suitable venue for hosting social, cultural, and official programmes. The proposed multipurpose hall was seen as an essential infrastructure to cater to the growing needs of the community and to promote greater social interaction and development.
The tour reaffirmed the party’s commitment to grassroots engagement, unity, and inclusive development. The programme concluded with closing remarks by vice president, COB and assistant division in-charge, Peren, Iherie Ndang.
