Candidates were reminded of their responsibility to serve the people with sincerity and fairness, ensuring that the democratic process reflects truth and justice.
ABAM further urged all stakeholders’ candidates, supporters, and the wider community to commit themselves to peaceful conduct and to respect the sanctity of the election.

Drawing from the words of B. R. Ambedkar, ABAM warned that corruption has become the modern “monster” in Naga society and urged candidates to reject vote-buying, misuse of money, and the distribution of liquor and drugs to youths.
Finally, ABAM appealed to candidates to control their supporters, avoid violence and manipulation, and lead with honesty and wisdom so that the election becomes a turning point for peace, justice, and hope for future generations.
Earlier in March, ABAM Social Concern convened the Clean Election Campaign in several villages under Koridang Constituency Assembly. The campaign carried the message of fair and free elections, aiming to enable every electorate to exercise their franchise responsibly in the selection of leaders. This initiative reinforced ABAM’s commitment to promoting transparency and integrity in the democratic process.
Through these efforts, ABAM stated that it reaffirms its role as a moral and spiritual guide, encouraging leaders and citizens alike to act with humility, honesty, and integrity in their pursuit of public service. The organization remains steadfast in its mission to foster peace, unity, and justice in society, especially during times of political activity, the release added.
