Dimapur traffic advisory for Apr 6 PM transit

Ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Assam via Dimapur airport on April 6, 2026, the Dimapur police have issued following traffic advisory for April 6 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the interest of public safety and security. In a traffic advisory, commissioner of police Dimapur, Aotula T Imchen has notified “no entry for heavy vehicles” along the stretch of National Highway-29 (NH-29) from Airport Junction (3rd Mile) to 4th Mile (Central Jail) Jn and along the road stretch from 4th Mile (Central Jail Jn) till Four Lane Intersection Over Bridge at Showuba Village.
Further, Dimapur police informed that there would be “no parking” along the stretch of NH-29 from Airport Junction (3rd Mile) to 4th Mile (Central Jail) Jn.
Additionally, police informed that vehicles would be allowed to park only on one side of the road between the road stretch from 4th Mile (Central Jail) Jn up to Old Showuba town.
Police cautioned that any defaulting vehicles in violation of the traffic advisory would be towed away. Dimapur police have requested all citizens to extend their cooperation and adhere strictly to this advisory.
