One sentenced to 10 years RI for culpable homicide

Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mokokchung, Victo Sema, on March 30 convicted Rajib Kormarkar for culpable homicide not amounting to murder under Section 304 Part-II IPC and sentenced him to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
The case was related to an incident on November 7, 2022, at a farmhouse near Chungtia village, where the accused assaulted his wife with a wooden pole, leading to her death.
The State was represented by Special Public Prosecutor/Assistant Public Prosecutor M. Temjenwathy Imsong and B. Langshen, while the investigation was carried out by UBSI Imiltemsu.
