Tuensang conducts district-level training on palliative care

Department of Health & Family Welfare (DH&FW), Tuensang, conducted a district-level training on palliative care for medical officers, nurses, and pharmacists from various health units under Tuensang district, on April 7 at conference hall District Hospital Tuensang.
A press release by District Media Coordinator ,Tuensang, Apheang, informed that the resource person of the training was SMO (Psychiatry) Tuensang, Dr. Senilo Magh and included three sessions covering topics such as introduction to palliative care, basics of pain, pain as 5th vital sign, classification of pain, features of neuropathic pain, components of pain, factors affecting pain perception, pain assessment, principles of drug therapy for cancer pain, interventions of pain management, breakthrough pain, management of nursing issues in palliative care, classification based on the actions on opioid receptions A total of 10 participants attended the programme.
