Nagaland Governor visits Phek; reviews developmental activities

Nagaland governor, Nand Kishore Yadav, visited Phek district Wednesday and reviewed various developmental activities during his meeting with different government departments.
According to a DIPR report, the governor also conducted interactive session with civil society organisations (CSOs) of Phek district.
In his address at the civic reception programme held in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Phek, governor expressed gratitude to the district administration, community leaders, civil society organizations, and people of Phek for the warm reception and gracious hospitality extended to him.
The governor lauded the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the people of Phek and appreciated their warm and heartfelt spirit. He reiterated his firm commitment to work closely with all sections of society — public representatives, tribal bodies, civil society organisations, and the administration — to build a peaceful, developed, and inclusive Nagaland.
Yadav stated that the purpose of his visit was not only to understand the developmental needs and aspirations of the district but also to strengthen the spirit of cooperation and collective responsibility.
Later, the governor chaired a review meeting with district officials. Departments including Health & Family Welfare, School Education, and Rural Development gave PowerPoint presentations highlighting their ongoing schemes, activities, and achievements in the district.
During the interactive session, the governor gave valuable suggestions on the presented schemes and encouraged all departments to work with greater sincerity and dedication for the welfare of the people.
Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) president, Vezuhu Keyho, delivered a speech on behalf of the Chakhesang public while DC Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, delivered the welcome address.
