Governor felicitates NCC cadets of Nagaland at Lok Bhavan

Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav felicitated cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Nagaland at a programme held at Lok Bhavan, Kohima on April 16.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor expressed immense pride and pleasure in honouring the NCC cadets, commending their spirit of unity, discipline and dedication.
He lauded the cadets for their remarkable achievement in successfully scaling Saramati Peak on March 19, 2026, along with their officers and staff.
The Governor particularly appreciated the participation of girl cadets and lady associate NCC officers in the expedition, highlighting it as a strong reflection of women’s empowerment and their growing role in challenging fields.
He also acknowledged various initiatives undertaken by NCC Nagaland, including Vibrant Village visits, Yuva Aapda Mitra training, Youth and Alumni Festival, National Integration Camps, trekking activities and collaborative efforts through MoUs with institutions such as NIELIT and ICAR. He noted that these initiatives significantly contribute to promoting national integration, personality development and skill enhancement among the youth, preparing them for future employment and responsible citizenship.
Emphasizing the importance of values and responsibility, the Governor urged the cadets to remain steadfast in their commitment towards building a harmonious and prosperous nation.
