Members of Wokha Village Eloe Ekhung (WVEE) organised a cleanliness drive at Mount Tiyi on April 17 with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and preserving the natural beauty of the area.
During the initiative, members actively cleaned the surroundings and underscored the importance of maintaining cleanliness at popular tourist spots. They urged visitors to refrain from littering and to take responsibility in managing waste while visiting the area.
The Ekhung also called upon civil society organisations and the general public to take up similar drives, stressing that collective efforts are essential to protect the environment. They appealed to all visitors to be mindful of their actions and contribute towards conserving forests and natural surroundings.
