NVC clarifies on extortion accused

Nitozu Village Council (NVC) has clarified that Mughaka Zhimo (36), son of Hokugha Zhimo, who was recently arrested by police on charges of extortion, is not a native of Nitozu village, Niuland.
In a clarification note, NVC chairman Kheghoto Assumi stated that Hokugha Zhimo and his family had earlier been dismissed by the Western Sumi Hoho court for causing disruption of peace and bringing disrepute to the village. The council said that the information provided by Mughaka was false and misleading, and further asserted that appropriate action would be taken against him for defaming the name of the village.
