JCF and Ward 21 Committee support CCC ban on unauthorised collections

Joint Council Forum (JCF)– comprising NST colony, Churches Colony and Middle Point and Ward 21 Welfare Committee, Dimapur have expressed full support for the Churches Colony Council’s (CCC) April 18, 2026 directive, reaffirming ban on monthly collections by unions, associations or self-styled groups within its jurisdiction, citing continued violations despite earlier directives.
JCF said that the move was necessary to protect residents and business community from undue burden and unauthorised demands. It urged all concerned to strictly comply with the order and said any violation should be dealt with as per the council’s directive.
The forum also stated that it stood in solidarity with CCC in ensuring discipline, accountability and the welfare of the community.
Further, Ward 21 Welfare Committee also endorsed CCC’s notice, terming the directive to protect the rights, interests and economic stability of residents and the business community. The committee directed all individuals and organisations to comply strictly with immediate effect and warned that any violation would invite appropriate action by the competent authorities, while expressing support for strict enforcement of the directive in the interest of public order and overall welfare.
In its April 18, 2026 notice, CCC reiterated that no individual, union/association shall collect money in any form within its jurisdiction. It directed all concerned to comply with the order with immediate effect, failing which necessary action would be taken.
